B is for Blueberry

Sarah Terranova Photography, Cucina & Camera

At just 7 weeks my boyfriend and I decided WTF — let’s do this thing! It had been the longest and most draining week either of us had been through (thus far). A week of back and forth, a week of intense emotional ups and downs, a week of insecurity, questioning, and lots of unknowns. At the end of that week we couldn’t take the instability of not knowing what our future would hold any longer. I was pregnant and after that week of reflection we decided to remain pregnant. Together we’d bring an incredibly loved and cherished child earth-side. We knew this was the right choice for us. All three of us. And now we could begin one of the most special and amazing journeys life could ever bring us <3

Motherhood: First Purchase

TY2_9312-Edit

Well, I guess the cat’s out of the bag! My road to Motherhood has begun and there are so many things I can’t wait to share with you. But first, I want to take a look back at a few things I, for some reason, feel obligated to tell. Kansas City Flowers, Photos & a Baby

It has long been a dream of mine to work in a flower shop. I imagine spending the day surrounded by wonderful smells and the feeling of nature (sans spiders and snakes) and playing with white roses and baby’s breath. Yesss, that sounds pretty ideal to me. But just for like a day. Definitely not on February 13th or near a holiday or a day when something sad happens the requires sad flowers. Just on a normal, slow day when you can relax and be creative. Dreamy, right?! Well, with the help of a couple wonderful ladies, I got to play pretend for a day and it was real.

A Creative Convergence

ST_071915_CreativeConvergence-014

When Tyler of Made in KC first approached me about being a part of a dinner event he was putting together for Kansas City creatives my first thought was (*%&$^#@!) yea, totally. i’d love to.  He and Jaclyn Joslin of Coveted Home were teaming up to put on a thank you dinner for those makers who filled  the south KC boutique and made opening their doors possible. I was totally stoked (and super nervous!). It was completely flattering to even be considered as a part of KC’s creative community. And even more than that — trusted to feed all 60+ of them!
